Laurie Nash
President - Owner - OperatorI never thought I would continue with my families business, but never say never. When I graduated from college, and came to ALHI to work for my dad, I never turned back. Helping people stimulated me, and I love it. I now have been with ALHI since 1990 and have owned it since 2000. I am married, have 3 kids, live in Haslett and love Mexican food. Outside of working, I relax with yoga.
Carrie Osentoski
Operations ManagerI have been a client of Another Look since the 90’s and most recently an employee since 2019. As a client that has experienced hair loss and wears a hair system myself, I enjoy & take great pride in helping others like myself regain their confidence & self esteem. Many clients are comforted knowing there is someone here who understand and knows exactly what they are going through. When I share that I also wear a hair system, people are shocked that’s its so undetectable, and that is what we aim for.
I truly love my job, so much so that I commute from up north and stay in the Lansing area 3 days a week. Outside of work I keep busy with 3 kids, two that play ice hockey, so we are frequently running from rink to rink all over Michigan (sometimes Canada) & my oldest is a licensed cosmetologist.
I enjoy dive bars off the beaten path, live bands, comedy shows, authentic Mexican food and cats. I can knit a mean winter hat & love true crime shows & horror movies.
Kaity Kassa
Hair Replacement SpecialistI learned about this business from Carrie while her and I were in Cosmetology School together. She told me her story and it just swelled my heart with appreciation for there being an option like this for anyone.
My husband and I just got a new puppy named Honey. She is a Mini GoldenDoodle. When I am not at work I’m either playing with my puppy or doing anything outdoors!
I love Chinese and BBQ food and my favorite season is Fall
Annie Putmon
Hair Replacement SpecialistWhen I started working at ALHI my senior year of high school in 2022, I never thought I would fall in love with this industry the way that I did. I realized I had a passion for helping others look and feel beautiful, so I decided to further my education by going to cosmetology school and getting my license.
I like to spend my free time outside going on walks, going to the beach, and visiting family. I live in Okemos with my boyfriend who’s a mechanic and also a state champion competitive arm wrestler. My boyfriend and I love to travel around to arm wrestling competitions, work out together, and go to church.

History
In the early 1960’s there was a conversation between Dwayne Bellingar, “Grandpa” and Rick Bellingar, “Dad”.
Grandpa says, “I am bald, why don’t you get me more hair?”
Shortly after, Dad attended Barber College and received his license. He discovered the options for hair solutions were endless. Dad was always looking for the next best thing, how to help people, make a difference, and pay it forward. The entrepreneurial seed had been planted as he began researching how to get Grandpa “more hair”. Being a Barber was grading, but changing someone's appearance and boosting their confidence by simply adding more hair was extremely rewarding.
In 1964, Dad started his quest to help others on a different level by opening Another Look Hair Institute. ALHI became a place where men that were thinning or completely bald found it much easier when applying for work or asking for that promotion for higher pay as they felt more confident with their new hair. Bald children being teased were able to build much needed self-esteem and make meaningful connections with others. Women with thinning hair or other scalp problems were able to once again feel and look beautiful and sexy. Dad was committed to doing an act of kindness to someone everyday. Passionate about helping people, Dad’s motto has always been, "Do the right thing and everything will always work out."
After 58 years of changing lives behind those private styling room doors, Dad left a legacy that I continue today. I came to work with my dad in 1994, purchased the business in 1999, and have continued Dad’s trend of helping others daily. We have expanded into multiple locations and are still doing “the right thing”. My dad dedicated his life and career to helping others feel and look good. I can only hope I can stand tall enough in his shoes!
